Cookie policy

Basic draft wording. This document is a basic draft text and does not constitute legal advice.

This policy explains what data is stored in the browser when the Kostilatas brand website (hereinafter: "the Website") is used, for which purposes, and how it can be managed. The policy is an integral part of the Website's terms of use and privacy policy, and supplements them.

The Website is a brand and sales-promotion website for the Kostilatas mineral water brand. The Website address: https://kostilatas.co.il.

Use of the Website and of this policy is subject solely to the laws of the State of Israel, including the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, as amended, including Amendment 13, which entered into force on 14 August 2025.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file stored in the user's browser or end device while browsing the Website. A cookie allows the Website to identify the browser, to keep information about visits and preferences, and to support its proper operation and the user experience. Alongside cookies, similar technologies are sometimes used, such as local storage in the browser (Local Storage) and web beacons, and in this policy all of them are referred to together as "cookies".

Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when the browser is closed, or persistent cookies, which are kept for a defined period. A distinction can also be made between first-party cookies, which originate from the Website itself, and third-party cookies, which originate from external services integrated into the Website.

Information collected by means of cookies that makes it possible to identify a person, directly or indirectly, may be considered "personal information" and subject to the law applicable to privacy protection.

2. Legal basis and the privacy-first principle

Israeli law has no separate dedicated cookie law, and the use of cookies is regulated within the framework of the Protection of Privacy Law and its regulations. In accordance with the accepted approach and the guidelines of the Privacy Protection Authority, the Website operates according to the privacy-first principle:

3. What is actually stored in the browser

3.1 Essential items (no consent required)

The following essential preference items are kept in the browser, in local storage (localStorage):

These essential items are kept on your device only, are not sent to the Website's servers and are not used to identify you.

3.2 Usage measurement - with consent only

If you chose "Accept measurement" in the preferences banner, the Website operates the Google Analytics 4 measurement service of Google, in order to understand usage patterns and improve the Website. In this context:

As long as consent has not been given, the measurement service is not loaded at all, and no data is sent.

4. The preferences banner on entering the Website

On the first entry to the Website, a preferences banner is displayed offering two options: "Essential only" - the Website operates without any measurement, and only the essential preferences in Section 3.1 are kept; or "Accept measurement" - the usage measurement in Section 3.2 is also operated. The choice is kept on your device, and it can be changed at any time by deleting the Website's data in the browser (see Section 5), which will display the banner again.

5. Managing and deleting the preferences

You can delete the saved preferences at any time through the browser settings (clearing site data / local storage for kostilatas.co.il). Each browser has its own management mechanism, and it is recommended to consult the help screen of the relevant browser. Deleting the data will reset the accessibility preferences you chose and will display the preferences banner again on the next entry.

In addition, all the accessibility settings can be reset directly from the accessibility menu on the Website, by means of the "Reset all settings" option.

6. Third-party services

The hosting of the Website and the receipt of forms are carried out by the infrastructure provider Netlify, whose operation is subject to its privacy policy. The Google Analytics 4 measurement service, which is operated with consent only as detailed in Section 3.2, is provided by Google and its operation is subject to Google's privacy policy; the measurement data may be processed on servers outside Israel, in accordance with the provisions of the law on the transfer of information. Beyond this, the Website does not embed third-party services that set advertising or tracking cookies. If an additional service that sets cookies is integrated into the Website in the future, its identity, the purpose of use and the retention period will be detailed in this policy, and its operation will be conditional on consent to the extent required by law.

7. Relation to the privacy policy

To the extent that the information collected by means of cookies makes it possible to identify a person, the provisions of the Website's privacy policy and the privacy protection laws in Israel apply to it. This includes a person's right to receive information about the purposes of the collection and use of the information, and to exercise the rights of access, correction and deletion set out in the law. This cookie policy does not replace the privacy policy, but supplements it.

8. Changes to the policy

The Website owner may update this policy from time to time, in accordance with changes in technology, in the Website's services or in the applicable law. The binding version is the version published on the Website at the time of browsing, and it is recommended to review it from time to time. The date of the latest update is stated at the bottom of the policy.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

This policy and the use of cookies on the Website shall be governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. The exclusive jurisdiction in any matter relating to this policy is vested in the competent courts in the Central District, and in them alone.

10. Contact

For any question, request or inquiry regarding the cookie policy, the use of information or the exercise of rights under the law, you may contact the Website owner through the following contact details:
